The preferred approach to get around in Pickering Beach is usually a car. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. However, Pickering Beach is not very transit friendly. Cycling is difficult in this part of Ajax because the bicycling infrastructure is rather poor. Thankfully, it is an even ride to most destinations. Walking is also not very practical for residents in this area as running common errands is inconvenient on foot.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Pickering Beach. In addition, there are only a few daycares and consequently they can be a rather long walk away. With respect to food, it is rarely practical for house buyers in this part of the town to access the closest supermarket on foot.
