Finally, most locations within the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, including Satoo Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to explore.
Satoo is a very convenient part of Edmonton for travelling by car. Coming across a place to park is easy, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway from any home in Satoo. However, travelling by public transit is occasionally difficult in this part of the city. Thankfully, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. This neighbourhood is not very well-suited for those who travel by foot as running day-to-day errands is inconvenient. In contrast, this area is quite conducive to biking as the bicycling network is reasonably good, and there are few hills to confront cyclists.
Homeowners occupy roughly 85% of the units in Satoo while the rest are rented. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this neighbourhood. This neighbourhood experienced its biggest construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available housing stock is from this era. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
In all but a limited number of cases, a car is required in Satoo to reach the nearest grocery store. Regarding education, schools and daycares are convenient to access on foot from any location in this neighbourhood.
