The character of Southeast Kelowna is exemplified by its calm environment. It is easy to get to public green spaces from most locations within the sector and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to check out. The noise levels in this part of the city are also very low, as the streets are usually very calm.


Driving is very often the preferred method of transportation in this sector. It is very convenient to find a parking spot. However, the public transit system in Southeast Kelowna is not very practical. Nevertheless, the sector is linked by a few bus lines. Southeast Kelowna is not very well-suited for walking because almost no common errands can be run without the use of a car.


The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Southeast Kelowna is an important part of its character. This area did not experience a single construction boom; the construction of new dwellings in the sector was spread throughout multiple decades in recent history. This sector offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the units in Southeast Kelowna while the remainder are rented.


Primary schools are not plentiful in this part of Kelowna, and accordingly not always within walking distance, and there are no high schools. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. Moreover, daycares are not numerous and therefore may require a very long walk to get to. When it comes to food, reaching the closest supermarket on foot is practical for some, but not all, home buyers in Southeast Kelowna.
