People who prefer a calm ambience will enjoy Southland Park. This neighbourhood is fairly good for those who like quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, it is easy to access parks, since reaching one from the majority of houses for sale is occasionally challenging and there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to unwind in.


Southland Park is especially car friendly. Many houses for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, and accessing a parking spot is quite easy. In contrast, the public transit service in this area is quite poor. Thankfully, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and most homes are near a bus stop. Walking is not very feasible for residents in Southland Park because almost no day-to-day errands can be run on foot.

Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of dwellings in this part of Winnipeg, while the rest are mainly townhouses. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this part of the city.


There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the city. Furthermore, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long walk away. In terms of eating, shopping for one's groceries very often requires the use of a vehicle in Southland Park.
