Strathmore is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park, and many houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway. This town is not very conducive to walking as very few daily needs can be met on foot.
Single detached homes and row houses are the main housing type in Strathmore. This town offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 80% of the properties in Strathmore while the rest are rented. Roughly half of properties in this town were built following the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1990s.
Both primary and secondary schools are easy to get to on foot from any location in this town. However, it can be challenging to access daycares as a pedestrian. When it comes to eating, getting to one of approximately 10 grocery stores by walking is feasible for some, but not all, home buyers in this town. A limited number of restaurants and cafes can be found as well.
