Town Centre offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. Green spaces are easy to get to since there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to unwind in. This neighbourhood is also fairly good for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as the streets are usually reasonably peaceful - although there are still several louder areas, especially around the railway line.


Walking is convenient for property owners in Town Centre, although day-to-day errands are sometimes difficult to run on foot. On the other hand, bicycling is challenging in Town Centre because riding is made strenuous by the typically steep terrain. Nonetheless, the cycling infrastructure is fairly good. Cars are a very good mode of transportation in this area. Coming across a parking spot is quite easy, and most properties for sale are a rather short drive from the closest highway. On the other hand, Town Centre is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is the Port Haney Station on the West Coast Express Line. Residents have access to a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most properties.


In Town Centre, about 45% of dwellings are small apartment buildings, but large apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes. About 60% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 40% are rented. The buildings in this neighbourhood are very new, because roughly one third of its dwellings were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s.


The nearest supermarket in Town Centre is generally only a short walk away. Additionally, there are a fair number of options within walking distance for those who care about restaurants and cafes. It is also easy to access a selection of clothing stores on foot. With respect to education, parents and their children will appreciate that no matter where their house is situated in Town Centre, schools and daycares are close by. Families have the choice between public and private primary schools.
