It is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway from anywhere in University, and coming across a place to park is generally easy. University is not very conducive to walking as running daily errands is difficult.

Secondary schools are easy to access on foot from most properties for sale in University. On the other hand, there are no primary schools in this part of Winnipeg. With respect to eating, some, but not all, house buyers in University will reside within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. A small variety of restaurants and coffee shops is available.
