In contrast, the bike is a fairly poor method of transportation in this neighbourhood as the bicycling network is not particularly comprehensive, and riding is rendered strenuous by the typically sloping terrain. Driving is a very good mode of transportation in this area. Parking is easy, and many properties for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway. In contrast, the public transit system in Valley Centre is not particularly convenient. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most residences.

It is a short walk to get to daycares and schools from most houses for sale in this part of District of North Vancouver. Residents have the option of public and private schools at both the elementary and high school level. With respect to eating, the nearest grocery store in this area is typically only a very short walk away. Lynn Valley Road is among the best streets for food stores. Moreover, it is convenient to reach the closest cafe on foot, and there are also approximately 20 restaurants in this part of the municipality. It is also a reasonably short walk to a good variety of clothing stores.
