About 45% of properties in this part of the municipality were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1980s and the 2000s. This area has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About 60% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the remainder are renters.


It is a short walk to access schools and daycares from anywhere in this neighbourhood. Parents can choose between public and private schools at both the primary and high school level. Concerning eating, house buyers in Valley Centre will welcome that a grocery store is always only a very short walk away. Moreover, there is often a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. It is also a rather short walk to a decent variety of clothing stores, for instance on Lynn Valley Road.
