Varsity View is a very good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. This part of Saskatoon is very quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, parks are easy to access since there are a few of them close by for residents to check out.

Transportation

No matter the mode of transportation, it is quite straightforward to travel in Varsity View. Many of the homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are quite conducive to those who travel by foot, although common amenities such as liquor stores or banks can be an occasionally long walk away. This part of Saskatoon has a reasonably good public transit infrastructure as a result of about 10 nearby bus lines. This area is also very car friendly. It is easy to park, and nearby highways are very easy to reach from anywhere in this part of the city.

Housing

In Varsity View, about one third of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and duplexes make up most of the remaining housing stock. Roughly 40% of properties in this part of Saskatoon were built pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 2000s. This neighbourhood offers mainly one bedroom and two bedroom homes. Renters occupy around 55% of the units in Varsity View and the rest are occupied by owners.

The closest supermarket in Varsity View is generally only a short walk away. In addition, Varsity View is a good place in which to go out to eat. Residents can find a fair number of nearby clothing stores. In terms of education, it is a rather short walk to reach daycares and schools from any location in Varsity View.
