Varsity Village is a great neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. Public green spaces, such as Nicholas Sheran Park and Rutgers Park, are very well-located and there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to explore, making them very easy to reach. This neighbourhood is also wonderful for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
Cars are a very good transportation option in this part of the city. It is straightforward to access a parking spot. Varsity Village is not very well-suited for walking because running daily errands is impractical on foot.
In Varsity Village, most buildings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood experienced its largest building boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available housing stock is from this time period. However, this area does not contain any high schools.
