Getting around by car is very convenient in Wasaga Beach. Parking is generally easy. It is very inconvenient for people walking to get around in Wasaga Beach since almost no daily needs can be carried out on foot.


Around 45% of homes in Wasaga Beach were constructed after the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this town is an important part of its character. About 85% of the dwellings in the town are occupied by homeowners and 15% are rented. This town is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.


Some, but not all, property owners in Wasaga Beach will live within walking distance of the nearest supermarket. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. With respect to education, there are only a few primary schools in this town and accordingly they can be a rather long walk away. Likewise, Wasaga Beach does not contain any high schools. Additionally, families may find it very hard for their kids to access daycares as a pedestrian. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools.
