Home buyers who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy West Kelowna. Most areas in this municipality are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Lastly, it is easy to get to public green spaces, since there are over 100 of them close by for residents to explore and reaching the closest park from many properties for sale is sometimes challenging.

Transportation

Driving is usually the favoured approach to get around in West Kelowna. Parking is generally easy, and most real estate listings are a rather short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 97. On the other hand, the public transit service in West Kelowna is not very frequent. Nonetheless, the municipality is served by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. West Kelowna is not very suitable for those who travel by foot because meeting daily needs is difficult.

Housing

Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing about 70% of dwellings in West Kelowna, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. The buildings in this municipality are quite new, since around 30% of its dwellings were built following the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. This part of the Greater Kelowna metropolitan area offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Around 85% of the units in the municipality are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented.

Services

It can be difficult to walk to high schools and primary schools from properties for sale in West Kelowna. Furthermore, families may find it difficult to access daycares as a pedestrian. Families benefit from public and private primary schools. With regards to food, accessing one of approximately 20 supermarkets by walking is possible for some, but not all, property owners in West Kelowna. There are also a few choices for those who value restaurants in close proximity.
