Weston will also attract physically active house buyers because it is reasonably well-suited for those who travel by foot; most daily needs are easy to meet by walking. It is at times challenging to move around by bike in this neighbourhood as the cycling network is not especially well-developed, and bicycling is rendered strenuous by the typically steep area.

Renters occupy about two thirds of the units in Weston whereas the rest are occupied by owners. Around 55% of buildings are large apartment buildings, making it easy to find apartments in this area, and the remaining properties are mainly small apartment buildings and single detached homes. About one third of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1990s. This part of the city is primarily composed of two bedroom and one bedroom homes.

A supermarket is generally reachable within a very short walk from any home in this part of Toronto. Moreover, there are a fair number of choices for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. It is also easy to reach a number of clothing stores on foot, for example along Weston Road. Regarding education, families will appreciate that no matter where their house is located in this area, daycares and schools are nearby. In addition to public schools, there are private primary and high schools.
