Most areas in Whitefish are very quiet, as there are low levels of noise from traffic. Parks are distributed sporadically, resulting in them being very difficult to reach from a lot of locations in the community. Whitefish is especially car friendly. Parking is quite easy. Whitefish is not very suitable for walking because carrying out daily needs is very impractical.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of Greater Sudbury. With regards to food, a car is almost always needed in Whitefish to access the nearest supermarket.
