Alberton South is a neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a chill ambience. Alberton South is an excellent area for those who don't mind some noise, since during rush hour, traffic can occasionally be bothersome. It is rather challenging to get to green spaces from most locations within the neighbourhood since they aren't well-spread out. Still, there are a few parks nearby for residents to check out.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in Alberton South. Finding a parking spot is generally easy, and many real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Highway 403. It is very challenging for pedestrians to get around in this area since very few daily errands can be run without the use of a car. Alberton South is also not very amenable to biking because cyclists encounter a significant amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not very extensive.

Housing

Roughly 95% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of buildings in this area, and the rest are mainly duplexes. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Alberton South. In addition, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long trip away. In terms of food, in vast majority cases, a car is needed to do groceries. Residents of this area benefit from a few restaurants.
