Athabasca Real Estate & Houses for Sale
Athabasca offers a calm environment. Most areas in Athabasca are especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
Transportation
Athabasca is very car friendly. Finding a place to park is quite easy. This town is not very suitable for those who like to travel as pedestrians since carrying out day-to-day needs is impractical without a car. Moving around by bicycle is also at times difficult in Athabasca as riding a bike is rendered arduous by the typically steep terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive.
Housing
In Athabasca, many buildings are single detached homes, while small apartment buildings are the main alternative in the housing stock. The homes in this town are quite new, since around one quarter of its dwellings were constructed after the year 2000, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of Division No. 13 offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 60% of the properties in the town are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented.
Services
It is a short stroll to access both primary and secondary schools from anywhere in Athabasca. In contrast, daycares are not particularly abundant and thus tend to require a rather long walk to get to. When it comes to eating, it is rarely possible for house buyers in Athabasca to do their groceries by foot. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well.
