Aumond Real Estate & Houses for Sale

Aumond is a wonderful township to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. Aumond is very quiet, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.

    Transportation

Driving is usually the favoured way to navigate this township. It is very easy to park. Aumond is not very bike-friendly because the topography is not especially flat, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive. A majority of the homes for sale in this township are located in areas that are also not very well-suited for those who prefer to travel on foot because almost no daily errands can be run without a car.

    Housing

In Aumond, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes, while mobile homes are the main housing type in the rest of the housing stock. Around one third of properties in this township were constructed pre-1960, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1990s. This part of La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau also has a good choice of unit sizes - houses range from lofts to four or more bedrooms. Roughly 85% of the population of this township own their home while the rest are renters.

    Services

Aumond does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, families may find it very hard for their schoolchildren to reach daycares on foot. When it comes to eating, buying one's groceries very often requires the use of a vehicle in this township.
