Baturyn offers a slower-paced ambience and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This part of Edmonton is very quiet, as the streets are usually very peaceful. Lastly, most locations within the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, like Baturyn Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in.


Driving is usually the best means of transportation in Baturyn. The majority of homes for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the nearest highway, and it is convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit system in Baturyn is rather limited. Nevertheless, house owners are served by about 10 bus lines, and it is especially convenient to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. It is easy to move around by bicycle in Baturyn since the terrain is flat, and there are a fair number of bike lanes. Baturyn is not very conducive to those who travel by foot since very few day-to-day errands can be run without needing to use a car.


In Baturyn, many dwellings are single detached homes, while townhouses are also present in the housing stock. This area experienced its largest construction boom in the 1960s and 1970s, so most of the available properties are from this era. This part of Edmonton offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and the remainder are renters.


Schools and daycares are convenient to get to on foot from most properties for sale in this area. As far as eating is concerned, in most cases, a car is needed to buy groceries. Nonetheless, getting to the closest pharmacy and accordingly some staple foods is usually straightforward. There are also a few restaurants in Baturyn.
