Bayview Real Estate & Houses for Sale
Bayview offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to visit and they are very well-situated, which makes it easy to get to them. This neighbourhood is also fairly good for those who like quiet areas, as the streets are generally quite peaceful - although there are still several louder sections, especially near Queen Elizabeth Way.
Transportation
Bayview is very car friendly. It is a short drive to the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, from anywhere in Bayview, and parking is easy. Many of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not very conducive to those who get around on foot because very few daily needs can be met without the use of a vehicle. Bayview is also not very cycling-friendly since there are a good number of slopes for cyclists to brave, and there are few bike lanes.
Housing
Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around half of dwellings in Bayview, and the rest of the homes are mainly small apartment buildings. Around one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1990s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the properties in Bayview and 10% are rented.
Services
In most cases, a car is needed to do groceries. Nonetheless, pharmacies are generally convenient to access by foot and supply some staple foods. Residents are served by a few restaurants and cafes as well. In terms of education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Moreover, daycares are not especially plentiful and therefore not always within walking distance.
