Black Creek real estate guide & listings for sale

The character of Black Creek is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. This neighbourhood is fairly good for those who like quiet areas, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although that is not the case closer to Highway 400. Finally, this part of Toronto also features a fair amount of greenery as there are numerous tree-lined streets. There are approximately 10 green spaces close by for residents to enjoy, including Black Creek Parkland and Remberto Navia Sport Fields, which makes it very easy to access them.

Transportation

Regardless of the means of transportation, it is reasonably straightforward to get around in Black Creek. This part of the city is a fairly pleasant part of Toronto for pedestrians; many daily errands can be run on foot. In contrast, Black Creek is not particularly suited for cycling since the bicycling network is sometimes poor, and there are a fair number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Nevertheless, certain bike-friendly pockets can be found. The public transit network in Black Creek is reasonably convenient due to a few nearby bus lines. The car is usually the preferred method to navigate this area. It is easy to park, and most houses for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Highway 400.

Housing

Around two thirds of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by renters while owners occupy the remainder. In this area, the majority of dwellings are large apartment buildings, while townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Most homes in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1960 and 1980, during its most significant building boom. This part of Toronto also has a good choice of housing sizes - homes range from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Services

Property owners in Black Creek will welcome that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. Likewise, this neighbourhood is a good place in which to eat out, and a small variety of cafes can be found as well. It is also a rather short distance to a reasonable selection of clothing stores. In terms of education, primary schools and daycares are easy to access on foot from most properties for sale in Black Creek. On the other hand, parents may consider it difficult for their schoolchildren to get to high schools as a pedestrian.
