Black River 9 is an extremely good reserve for driving. Parking is quite easy. Even though there are not many slopes to challenge bike riders, Black River 9 is not very bicycling-friendly because the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. A majority of the houses for sale in this reserve are located in places that are also not very well-suited for pedestrians as running day-to-day errands is practically impossible without a car.

In Black River 9, the overwhelming majority of buildings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly townhouses. A car is almost always needed in this reserve to reach the closest grocery store. As far as education is concerned, both primary and secondary schools are easy to get to on foot from any location in Black River 9. On the other hand, parents and their kids may find it very hard to reach daycares as pedestrians.
