Blackburn Real Estate & Houses for Sale

Blackburn is a wonderful neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. Blackburn is very quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic closer to the railway line. Public green spaces aren't well-situated, which results in them being rather challenging to get to from most locations within the neighbourhood. Despite that, there are a few parks close by for residents to enjoy.

    Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in this part of the city. It is very easy to park. A majority of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not very suitable for pedestrians since most daily needs are very impractical to meet without a vehicle. Blackburn is also not very appropriate for cycling because there are a fair number of elevation changes, and there are very few bike lanes.

    Housing

About one third of properties in Blackburn were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 1990s. The sizeable proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Roughly 90% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and the rest are rented. This part of the city is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

    Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Blackburn. Moreover, parents and their children may find it challenging to reach daycares by walking. With respect to eating, it is very rarely an option for home buyers in this area to travel to the nearest supermarket without needing to get in a car.
