There is a broad selection of green spaces in Blair. It is easy to reach parks from most locations in the neighbourhood since there are around 10 of them close by for residents to visit. As there are very few people out and about on the streets, this area is relatively calm.
Transportation
Driving is a great means of transportation in Blair. Coming across a parking spot is generally easy, and many houses for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 401. However, Blair is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is generally very close by. Although a few enjoyable pockets for cycling can be found, the bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in Blair since there are a limited number of bike lanes, and the terrain is not especially flat. A majority of the homes for sale in this part of Cambridge are located in areas that are also not very suitable for pedestrians as most daily needs are difficult to carry out without the use of a vehicle.
Housing
Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about half of dwellings in Blair, and the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood has a good selection of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 30% are renters. Around 30% of properties in this part of Cambridge were constructed after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s.
Services
It is rarely possible for property owners in Blair to do groceries by foot. Residents are served by a few restaurants and cafes. Regarding education, this neighbourhood does not have any high schools or primary schools. In addition, there are only a few daycares and consequently they can be a long trip away.
