Bridgeport is an excellent community to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. There are over 50 green spaces close by for residents to discover, including Melitzer Woodlot and Woodside National Historic Site, and they are very well-situated, making it easy to access them. This community is also wonderful for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic.
Transportation
Getting around by car is very easy in Bridgeport. Nearby highways, such as Highway 85 Collector, are easy to reach from any location in this area, and it is very convenient to park. However, the transit network in this part of Kitchener is not very convenient. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the community, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. Getting around by bicycle is easy in this part of Kitchener. Bridgeport is not very well-suited for pedestrians because very few daily errands can be run without a car.
Housing
Around 80% of the dwellings in the community are occupied by homeowners while renters occupy the remainder. In this community, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. About 45% of properties in this part of the city were built after the year 2000, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This area is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
Services
It is very hard to get to the nearest supermarket as a pedestrian from most houses for sale in Bridgeport. Additionally, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a small number of coffee shops can be found as well. It is also a reasonably short walk to a decent variety of clothing stores. As far as education is concerned, it is a rather short walk to get to daycares from most properties for sale in this area. In contrast, high schools are not numerous in Bridgeport, and consequently not always within a short distance, and there are no primary schools.
