Brookside Estates is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. Parks are easy to access since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in. This neighbourhood is very quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic.

Transportation

Brookside Estates is very car friendly. Finding a place to park is quite easy. In contrast, commuting by transit can be difficult in this part of Fredericton by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, residents are served by a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very practical for home buyers in this part of the city since running common errands is impractical without a vehicle. On the other hand, Brookside Estates is rather appropriate for bicycling.

Housing

Single detached homes are the main housing type, representing roughly one third of dwellings in Brookside Estates, while small apartment buildings are also present in the housing stock. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. About 55% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 45% are rented. Most of the housing growth in this area has taken place after the year 2000.

Services

The closest supermarket in this part of the city is typically only a reasonably short distance away. Residents benefit from a few restaurants and cafes as well. As far as education is concerned, daycares are straightforward to reach without the need to get in a vehicle from anywhere in Brookside Estates. However, there are only a very small number of high schools in this neighbourhood and consequently they can be a very long trip away. Likewise, this part of the city does not have any primary schools.
