Cammeray is a great neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. Most areas in this part of West Vancouver are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, there are approximately 10 green spaces nearby for residents to explore and they are very well-spread out, resulting in them being very easy to access from most locations within the neighbourhood.

Transportation

This area is an extremely convenient part of West Vancouver for getting around by car. It is a rather short drive to the closest highway from any location in this part of the municipality, and coming across a parking spot is generally easy. In contrast, travelling by public transit is challenging in this neighbourhood. Thankfully, residents benefit from a few bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. This area is not very convenient for those who like to travel on foot as carrying out day-to-day needs is challenging without the use of a vehicle. Bicycling is also difficult in this part of the municipality as the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor, and there is a considerable amount of elevation changes.

Housing

Around three quarters of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and renters occupy the remainder. The substantial percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Around 30% of properties in this part of the municipality were built between 1990 and 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this area.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Cammeray. Moreover, it can be difficult to access daycares on foot. Concerning food, in all but a few cases, a car is needed to do groceries. A limited number of restaurants are available in this neighbourhood.
