Capilano real estate guide & listings for sale

Capilano is a great neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a slower-paced environment. This part of the city is excellent for those who enjoy quiet areas, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, numerous locations in the neighbourhood have reasonably good access to green spaces, such as Capilano Community Park and Gold Bar Park, since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in.


Capilano is reasonably car friendly. Parking is generally easy. However, the public transit network in Capilano is not very practical. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is typically very close. This area is quite amenable to bicycling as Capilano has a fairly good cycling infrastructure. This part of Edmonton is not very conducive to walking because carrying out daily needs is difficult by walking.


The housing stock of Capilano is composed predominantly of single detached homes and townhouses. This part of Edmonton offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the units in Capilano while renters occupy the remainder. Most homes in this part of the city were constructed pre-1960, during its biggest building boom.


Daycares and schools are convenient to get to on foot from most properties for sale in Capilano. Regarding eating, a supermarket is usually reachable within a rather short walk from anywhere in this part of Edmonton. There are also a few coffee shops in Capilano.
