Carignan is reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although there are still several noisier sections, especially closer to Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est or Autoroute de la Vallée-des-Forts. Transportation

Carignan is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park, and most houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Autoroute des Cantons-de-l'Est. On the other hand, Carignan is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, property owners benefit from a few bus lines. Many of the houses for sale in this city are located in places that are not very convenient for walking since almost no common errands can be run without needing to resort to a car.

Services

It is very rarely feasible for house buyers in Carignan to reach the nearest grocery store on foot. With regards to education, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this part of the Greater Montréal metropolitan area and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. In addition, Carignan does not contain any high schools. Moreover, parents may find it very hard for their children to access daycares as a pedestrian.
