Many of the houses for sale in this city are located in places that are not very convenient for walking since almost no common errands can be run without needing to resort to a car.

With regards to education, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this part of the Greater Montréal metropolitan area and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. In addition, Carignan does not contain any high schools. Moreover, parents may find it very hard for their children to access daycares as a pedestrian.
