However, getting around by public transit is difficult in Carignan. Thankfully, there is the Gare Saint-Basile-le-Grand with access to the 13 - Mont-Saint-Hilaire. Property owners are served by about 40 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. It is inconvenient for pedestrians to navigate Carignan because very few day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle. Even though riding is made easier by the generally flat terrain, and a few pleasant areas for cycling exist, this city is also not especially bicycling-friendly since there are few bike lanes.
