Chaplin Real Estate & Houses for Sale

Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Chaplin. Chaplin is especially quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Green spaces aren't well-situated, resulting in them being very difficult to get to from the majority of locations within this part of the municipality.

    Transportation

Chaplin is particularly car friendly. Accessing a parking spot is generally easy. It is very impractical for pedestrians to move around in Chaplin as almost no daily errands can be run without a vehicle. The bike is a quite poor method of transportation in this part of Halifax because the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed, and the terrain is not very flat. Nevertheless, some pleasant pockets for bicycling can be found.

    Housing

The predominant housing types in Chaplin are single detached homes and townhouses. Roughly half of properties in this part of the municipality were constructed pre-1960, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s. This community offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly all of the properties in the community are occupied by homeowners while the remainder are rented.

    Services

Chaplin does not have any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, daycares are not abundant and therefore tend to require a very long trip to get to. With respect to eating, it is very rarely feasible for house buyers in Chaplin to reach the nearest supermarket as pedestrians.
