The character of Cornwall is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. A large number of locations in the city have fairly good access to public green spaces, like Kinsmen Soccer Fields and Canal Lands, since there are over 50 of them close by for residents to discover. This city is quiet overall, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case around the airport (Cornwall (Community Hospital McConnell Site) Heliport), the railway line or Highway 401.
Transportation
It is convenient to travel by bicycle in Cornwall since the topography is reasonably flat. Most homes for sale in this city are located in places that are also convenient for people who get around by foot; many common errands can be run without the use of a car. Driving is a fairly good transportation option in Cornwall. Parking is easy. However, Cornwall is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, residents have access to about 10 bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner.
Housing
Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing about half of buildings in Cornwall, and the remaining properties are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This city also has a good selection of unit sizes - it is quite easy to find properties ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. The population residing in this part of United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry is evenly split between owners and renters. Around one third of properties in this city were built prior to the 1960s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s.
Services
Both primary and secondary schools are very easy to get to without the need for a car from any location in Cornwall. However, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long walk away. With respect to food, home buyers in this city almost always have to turn to a vehicle to access one of around 10 grocery stores. Nevertheless, getting to the closest pharmacy and thus some basic food items is generally straightforward.
