The preferred method of transportation in this town is usually driving. Finding a place to park is easy, and the majority of properties for sale are a very short car ride from the nearest highway. Walking is not very practical for home buyers in Deep River because almost no daily errands can be run without needing to use a vehicle. However, commuting by bicycle is easy in this town.

Housing

Homeowners occupy roughly 80% of the units in the town whereas renters occupy the remainder. The substantial proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of this part of Renfrew County is an important part of its character.
