Most areas in this municipality are reasonably quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - however some areas can be quite noisy, especially near Highway 99, Highway 91, one of the railway lines or the airport (ZBB). Transportation

The best transportation option in Delta is usually driving. It is very easy to park, and many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 91A. In contrast, Delta is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, the municipality is connected by approximately 20 bus lines, and it is easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. Walking is not very practical for house buyers in this municipality because very few day-to-day needs can be met on foot. The bicycle is a rather limited method of transportation in Delta because there are few bike lanes, and there is a significant amount of hills.

Housing

About 80% of the population of this municipality own their home whereas the remainder are renters. In this municipality, the majority of dwellings are single detached homes, but small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This part of the Greater Vancouver metropolitan area experienced its most significant construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this era. This municipality offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

Services

Families may find it difficult to reach high schools and primary schools as pedestrians. Additionally, it can be difficult to reach daycares on foot. In addition to public schools, there are private primary and secondary schools. Concerning eating, a portion of property owners in Delta may have the option to do their groceries on foot in one of over 50 stores, while others will need another means of transportation. Residents can enjoy over 250 restaurants and coffee shops as well.
