Dominion is especially quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. It is sometimes hard to access parks within the community since they aren't well-located. Despite that, there are a few parks close by for residents to visit.


The best way to get around in Dominion is usually a car. It is especially convenient to park. Dominion is not very conducive to those who travel by foot because many daily needs are very difficult to meet without the use of a car.


The homes in this community are quite old, because roughly one third of its dwellings were built before the 1960s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in this area. Around three quarters of the dwellings in the community are occupied by homeowners whereas the remainder are rented. This community is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes.


Dominion does not have any high schools or primary schools. As far as eating is concerned, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to purchase groceries. Nevertheless, it is generally a rather short walk to the closest pharmacy, which can supply some basic food items. There are also a few restaurants and coffee shops in Dominion.
