Dorset Park real estate guide & listings for sale

People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy Dorset Park. There is a small amount of greenery in this neighbourhood; to be more precise, residents will find that most streets have sub-par tree coverage. Nonetheless, there are about 10 parks close by for residents to unwind in, like Glamorgan Park and Scarborough Hydro Green Space, making them very easy to reach from most locations within this part of Toronto. This neighbourhood is also reasonably quiet, as the streets tend to be reasonably peaceful - although there are still several louder sections, especially around Highway 401 or one of the railway lines.

Transportation

Regardless of the means of transportation, it is reasonably convenient to get around in this neighbourhood. With 3 rapid transit stations (Midland Station, Lawrence East Station and Ellesmere Station) with access to the Scarborough Line, and a few nearby bus lines, Dorset Park is very transit friendly. It is also easy for people walking to move around in this neighbourhood; many common errands can be run on foot. It is difficult to get around by bicycle in Dorset Park because there are few bike lanes, and the topography is not particularly flat.

In Dorset Park, about one third of buildings are large apartment buildings, while single detached homes and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. About 45% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1990s.
