The favoured method to move around in this parish is very often a car. Finding a place to park is easy. Dufferin is not very cycling-friendly because there are very few bike lanes, and cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes. Many of the houses for sale in this parish are located in areas that are also not very convenient for people who like to travel on foot as meeting daily needs is very impractical without a vehicle.

Housing

The large proportion of single detached homes in the housing stock of Dufferin is an important part of its character. About one third of properties in this parish were built following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of Charlotte County offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes. Nearly all of the population of this parish own their home and the rest are renters.

Home buyers in this parish almost always have to turn to a car to travel to the nearest grocery store. Concerning education, high schools are not numerous in Dufferin, and therefore not always within walking distance, and there are no primary schools.
