Home buyers who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Dundarave. Parks are very easy to get to since there are around 20 of them close by for residents to visit. This part of the municipality is also very good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic.

Transportation

Cars are a very good means of transportation in Dundarave. Nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are fairly easy to drive to from anywhere in this part of West Vancouver, and it is convenient to access a place to park. However, the public transit service in Dundarave is not very practical. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very common in Dundarave, despite the fact that running common errands is convenient without a car. Although there is a rather high density of cyclists, the bicycle is a somewhat poor method of transportation in this area as the cycling infrastructure is not particularly well-developed, and there is a significant amount of hills.

Housing

About three quarters of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the remainder are renters. In this area, the majority of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This part of the municipality did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in Dundarave was spread throughout several decades in recent history. This neighbourhood has a good variety of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Services

Property owners in this neighbourhood will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a long distance away. In addition, Dundarave is a fairly good place in which to eat out, for instance on Marine Drive, and a small variety of coffee shops is available as well. It is also a reasonably short walk to a decent variety of clothing stores. With respect to education, primary schools and daycares are especially easy to access as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in Dundarave. On the other hand, there are only a few high schools and consequently they can be an extended walk away.
