Dundarave real estate guide & listings for sale

Dundarave is a good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. This area is quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case closer to Trans-Canada Highway or the railway line. Finally, green spaces are very well-distributed and there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to check out, which makes them easy to get to.

Transportation

Dundarave is an extraordinarily good part of West Vancouver for getting around by car. Most real estate listings are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is very convenient to come across a parking spot. However, the public transit service in Dundarave is not very frequent. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most properties. Biking is very difficult in this area because riding is made strenuous by the typically sloping terrain, and the cycling infrastructure is rather poor. Dundarave is also not very conducive to those who travel by foot as very few day-to-day needs can be carried out by walking.

Housing

In Dundarave, around half of dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings, small apartment buildings, and duplexes. About 30% of properties in this part of West Vancouver were constructed prior to the 1960s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1980s. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. About 80% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and renters make up the remainder.

Services

In this neighbourhood, parents and their children will usually be able to access primary schools and daycares on foot. In contrast, Dundarave does not contain any high schools. Concerning eating, it is convenient to reach the closest supermarket by walking in Dundarave. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well.
