Eagle Harbour Real Estate & Houses for Sale

The character of Eagle Harbour is exemplified by its relaxed atmosphere. There are approximately 10 public green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, such as Seaview Walk and Nelson Canyon Park, which makes them easy to reach. This area is also good for those who need quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - however noise can be bothersome near Trans-Canada Highway, Highway 99 or the railway line.

    Transportation

The car is very often the favoured approach to move around in this neighbourhood. It is especially convenient to find a place to park, and nearby highways, such as Trans-Canada Highway, are very easy to drive to from any home in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, the public transit in Eagle Harbour is fairly poor. Thankfully, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically around the corner. This neighbourhood is not very conducive to pedestrians as running common errands is very inconvenient without the need to use a vehicle. The bicycle is a sometimes poor mode of transportation in Eagle Harbour because bike riders are faced with quite a few slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is fairly poor. Nevertheless, certain pleasant areas for cycling exist.

    Housing

About one third of homes in Eagle Harbour were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. The sizeable percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this neighbourhood is an important part of its character. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the properties in Eagle Harbour while renters occupy the remainder. This part of the municipality offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.

    Services

A vehicle is commonly required in this neighbourhood to access the closest grocery store. Residents are served by a few restaurants and cafes as well. With respect to education, in this part of the municipality, parents and their children will generally be able to access daycares and primary schools without the need for a vehicle. On the other hand, it can be very difficult to reach high schools on foot.
