Eastview is a "jack-of-all-trades" when it comes to the ambience of this part of Regina. Even though this area is not known for its lively atmosphere, with the bars in nearby neighbourhoods, it is occasionally hard to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located relatively close by. Eastview is very quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. There are a few parks nearby for residents to discover and they are especially well-situated, which results in them being easy to access from most locations in the neighbourhood.

Transportation

Eastview is rather conducive to cycling as there are few slopes to challenge bicycle riders. Home buyers who want to be in a walkable community will also enjoy the moderately pedestrian-friendly character of this neighbourhood; running common errands is easy without the use of a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are moderately close by. Eastview is not an especially convenient part of Regina for travelling by public transit. Nevertheless, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and it is especially convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most residences. In contrast, Eastview is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and it is a reasonably short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this area.

Housing

About two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners whereas the rest are rented. In this area, roughly 70% of buildings are single detached homes, and the remainder are mainly duplexes. The buildings in this neighbourhood are quite old, because about one third of its dwellings were constructed before the 1960s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 2000s. This neighbourhood offers mainly two bedroom and three bedroom homes.

The closest supermarket in Eastview is generally only a long walk away. Likewise, there is usually a restaurant or cafe in close proximity. It is also easy to reach a number of clothing stores by foot. When it comes to education, it is a very short trip to access daycares from any location in Eastview. On the other hand, Eastview does not contain any primary schools or high schools.
