This part of Edmonton is very quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Driving is an excellent transportation option in Edgemont. Nearby highways are quite easy to access from anywhere in this part of Edmonton, and it is very easy to park. However, the public transit network in Edgemont is not very accessible. Travelling on foot is not very practical for house buyers in this neighbourhood since running common errands is inconvenient. The bicycle is a somewhat poor method of transportation in Edgemont since the terrain is not particularly flat, and there are a limited number of bike lanes.


Most of the housing growth in Edgemont has taken place following the year 2000. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this area. Homeowners occupy around 90% of the properties in Edgemont while the remainder are rented. This part of the city also has quite a good variety of housing size options; notably, this area is good for those looking for three bedroom homes.


Parents and their kids will welcome that no matter where their home is situated in Edgemont, primary schools are close by. However, it can be challenging to reach high schools on foot. With respect to eating, a car is generally required in Edgemont to reach the closest supermarket.
