This part of Kitchener is fairly good for those who like a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case around Highway 7. Finally, reaching parks in the neighbourhood, such as Sandrock Greenway and Forest Heights Community Trail, is easy, since a lot of properties for sale have one that is easy to get to and there are about 10 public green spaces close by for residents to visit.

Travelling on foot is not very convenient for property owners in Forest Heights since carrying out day-to-day needs is inconvenient by walking.

Concerning education, it is a rather short walk to get to primary schools from most properties for sale in Forest Heights. In contrast, parents may consider it challenging for their children to get to high schools as a pedestrian.
