    Transportation

    Cars are a great means of transportation in Fountain 1. It is especially convenient to park. Fountain 1 is not very amenable to biking because there is a significant amount of hills, and the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. This reserve is also not very convenient for those who like to travel by walking since running common errands is almost impossible without a vehicle.

    Housing

    Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the overwhelming majority of dwellings in Fountain 1. This part of Squamish-Lillooet has a good variety of housing size options, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms. About three quarters of the dwellings in the reserve are occupied by renters while the rest are occupied by owners. Roughly 40% of homes in this reserve were built in the 1980s, while most of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1990s.

    This reserve does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long distance away. Regarding food, buying one's groceries usually demands the use of a car in this reserve.
