French River is particularly car friendly. It is especially convenient to park. Traveling as a pedestrian is not very practical for home buyers in French River because meeting daily needs is very inconvenient without a car. This part of Colchester Subdivision B is also not very cycling-friendly since there are a good number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave, and the bicycling network is quite poor.
Housing
In French River, many dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the dwellings are mainly small apartment buildings. Property owners in French River generally have to turn to a vehicle to travel to the closest supermarket. There are also a few options for those who care about close by restaurants. With respect to education, this part of Colchester Subdivision B does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Additionally, parents and their children may consider it very hard to reach daycares on foot.
