Gleneagles offers a relaxed environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time in green spaces. This area is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour - although that is not the case around Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, there are about 10 green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, like Whytecliff Park and Seaview Walk, and they are very well-distributed, which results in them being easy to reach from most locations in the neighbourhood.

Transportation

Cars are a great mode of transportation in this part of the municipality. It is very convenient to find a place to park, and the majority of real estate listings are a very short car ride from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. On the other hand, the public transit network in Gleneagles is not very accessible. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is linked by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. A majority of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very well-suited for pedestrians since very few day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle. Gleneagles is also not very bicycling-friendly because there are quite a few slopes, and the cycling network is somewhat poor.

In Gleneagles, the vast majority of buildings are single detached homes, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. This part of West Vancouver offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 85% of the properties in the neighbourhood and 15% are occupied by renters. This neighbourhood did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in Gleneagles was spread throughout multiple decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century.

Services

Property owners in Gleneagles will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a short distance away. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. With respect to education, it is a very short walk to reach primary schools from most properties for sale in Gleneagles. However, there are no high schools in this neighbourhood.
