Granville real estate guide & listings for sale

Granville is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed environment. Most areas in this part of Edmonton are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, there are a few parks close by for residents to check out and they are very well-situated, which makes it easy to reach them.


Granville is very car friendly. Most homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, and it is especially convenient to find a parking spot. However, the public transit service in this part of Edmonton is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is usually close by. It is inconvenient for people travelling on foot to move around in this part of the city as very few day-to-day needs can be met by walking. On the other hand, the bicycle is a reasonably good mode of transportation in this part of Edmonton because the cycling infrastructure is comprehensive.


Homeowners occupy roughly 95% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and 5% are rented. The housing stock of this neighbourhood is composed primarily of single detached homes and townhouses. Most of the housing growth in this area has happened following the year 2000. There is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this part of Edmonton.


There are only a limited number of primary schools in this neighbourhood and accordingly they can be an extended walk away. Furthermore, Granville does not contain any high schools. Likewise, families may consider it difficult for their children to reach daycares as a pedestrian. In terms of food, house buyers in Granville will be pleased to learn that a grocery store is always only a rather short walk away. A limited number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well.
