Henderson Estates real estate guide & listings for sale

Henderson Estates is a wonderful neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. This part of the city is very quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very tranquil. Finally, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to discover, like Henderson Park, and they are very well-distributed, making it very easy to access them.


Cars are an excellent medium of transportation in Henderson Estates. Many homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit system in this part of Edmonton is not very practical. Nonetheless, there are approximately 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. Most homes for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are not very conducive to walking since meeting daily needs is difficult. On the other hand, it is convenient to move around by bicycle in Henderson Estates since there are a good number of bike lanes.


Nearly all of the population of this neighbourhood own their home whereas the rest are renters. In this area, almost all buildings are single detached homes, but townhouses are also present in the housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this part of Edmonton took place between 1980 and 1990. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.


There are no high schools and no primary schools in Henderson Estates. Furthermore, there are only a very small number of daycares and therefore they can be a very long walk away. Regarding eating, house buyers in this part of Edmonton often have to turn to a vehicle to purchase their groceries. Nonetheless, reaching the closest pharmacy and accordingly some basic food items is usually easy.
