Driving is usually the best transportation option in Heritage Hills. It is very easy to come across a parking spot. However, the public transit system in Heritage Hills is not very accessible. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually just around the corner. Most homes for sale in this area are located in places that are not very suitable for walking because very few daily errands can be run without needing to resort to a car.
The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Heritage Hills is an important part of its character. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this part of Strathcona County. Nearly all of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented. Around one third of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1990s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1980s and the 2000s.
There are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the municipality. In addition, there are only a few daycares and therefore they can be a long walk away. As far as eating is concerned, in the majority of cases, a vehicle is needed to shop for groceries.
