Hillview offers a relaxed atmosphere and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of Edmonton is wonderful for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as the streets are usually very tranquil. Lastly, it is easy to get to parks in the neighbourhood since there are a few of them nearby for residents to relax in.


Cars are a very good transportation option in Hillview. Most homes for sale are a rather short drive from the nearest highway, and it is convenient to park. However, commuting by public transit is sometimes difficult in this neighbourhood. Nonetheless, residents are served by approximately 10 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most homes. This neighbourhood is not especially convenient for those who travel by foot since most day-to-day needs are inconvenient to meet by walking. On the other hand, this area is quite appropriate for cycling as there are numerous bike lanes.


Most housing in Hillview was built in the 1960s and 1970s, during its main construction boom. Single detached homes and townhouses are the predominant housing type in this area. About two thirds of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and one third are rented. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.


It is occasionally practical for home buyers in this part of the city to buy groceries by walking. Nevertheless, pharmacies are typically convenient to reach on foot and supply some staple foods. A cafe is commonly just around the corner, and there are also a limited number of choices for those who appreciate nearby restaurants. As far as education is concerned, daycares and primary schools are convenient to walk to from most houses for sale in Hillview. In contrast, Hillview does not have any high schools.
