Holiday Park is especially quiet overall, as the streets tend to be very peaceful. There are around 10 green spaces close by for residents to explore, such as Fred Mendel Park and Glenn Reeve Fields, and they are especially well-situated, which makes it very easy to access them.

This part of the city will appeal to physically active house buyers as it is fairly suited for bicycling. More precisely, it is an even ride to most locations, and there are a good number of bike lanes. Holiday Park is also fairly conducive to those who prefer to get around as pedestrians; running day-to-day errands is convenient without a car, and a variety of businesses are rather close by. Driving is often the best mode of transportation in Holiday Park. It is straightforward to access a parking spot, and the majority of properties for sale are a rather short car ride from the closest highway. However, public transit riders may find few options in Holiday Park by reason of the service's low frequency. Nevertheless, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes.

About two thirds of dwellings are single detached homes, making it easy to find detached homes in this part of Saskatoon, but small apartment buildings and duplexes are also present in the housing stock. Most of the housing growth in this area took place before the 1960s. This part of the city has a good selection of unit sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

It is very convenient to reach the nearest grocery store as a pedestrian from any location in this neighbourhood. Likewise, there are a fair number of choices for those who value nearby restaurants and cafes. With regards to education, primary schools and daycares are easy to get to without needing a vehicle from most homes for sale in this neighbourhood. In contrast, there are no high schools in this area.
