Horseshoe Bay is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. The noise levels in this part of West Vancouver are low, as the streets are usually quite tranquil. Finally, public green spaces are especially well-distributed and there are a few of them nearby for residents to unwind in, which results in them being easy to get to from a lot of locations within Horseshoe Bay.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in Horseshoe Bay. It is very easy to park, and many homes for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway. In contrast, public transit users may have limited options in Horseshoe Bay due to the low service level. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually nearby. Walking is not very convenient for property owners in this part of the municipality because very few day-to-day needs can be carried out on foot. It is also very hard to move around by bike in this neighbourhood as cyclists are faced with a significant amount of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Housing

Roughly 70% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while the rest are renters. In this part of West Vancouver, most dwellings are single detached homes, while the remainder are mainly duplexes and townhouses. About 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while the majority of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood has a good selection of housing sizes, ranging from lofts to four or more bedrooms.

Services

Primary schools are convenient to reach on foot from any location in Horseshoe Bay. However, Horseshoe Bay does not contain any high schools. Concerning food, it is very easy to get to the closest supermarket on foot in this part of the municipality. A small number of restaurants and coffee shops are available as well.
