Most areas in this part of Calgary are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.

Transportation

Owing to around 20 nearby bus lines, residents can depend on public transit to move around in this area. However, Huntington Hills is not very cycling-friendly since. Thankfully, there are a limited number of slopes for cyclists to brave. Huntington Hills is not especially suitable for those who travel by foot as meeting daily needs is impractical by walking. In contrast, the car is usually the best transportation option in this neighbourhood. Accessing a place to park is easy, and it is a rather short drive to the closest highway from anywhere in Huntington Hills.

Housing

In Huntington Hills, most dwellings are single detached homes, and the rest of the properties are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood experienced its most significant construction boom between 1960 and 1980, so most of the available properties are from this time period. This part of Calgary is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Around 60% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 40% are rented.

A supermarket is typically accessible within a rather short walk from most houses for sale in Huntington Hills. There are also approximately 20 restaurants and coffee shops in this area. In contrast, it can be difficult to reach daycares on foot.
